Welcome to the busiest office building in the state of Kentucky. Located on the corner of 6th street and Jefferson street in downtown Louisville, the Hall of Justice houses all Jefferson County District Courts including: Traffic, Felony Misdemeanor Courts, Juvenile, Warrant, Domestic Violence, Probate, Civil District Court and Small Claims. The Hall of Justice is the building where bonds are posted for the release of those charged with a crime. The Hall of Justice also houses the Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office District Court Criminal/Traffic division, the Jefferson County Attorney’s office and the Domestic Violence and Warrant Intake offices.
Downtown Night Traffic Court is also held at the Hall of Justice.

District/Traffic Court Clerk Services:
- Accepts payment of fines and court costs (court ordered and citations)
- Posts cash and property bonds
- Reschedules missed court dates
- Accepts proof of citation offenses (insurance, vehicle registration, prepayable traffic charges, such as headlight, muffler, cracked windshield, etc.)
- Expungements (purging of violation after five years have passed from date
of final disposition)
- Accepts proof of volunteer work in lieu of fine payments by order of court releases liens for property bonds and returns cash bonds
- Provides information regarding recent arrest
